- Reception 2022
We know how generous our Warberry families are when it comes to supporting our fundraising events. Many of our children have expressed concern over the events currently happening in the Ukraine and I have been asked if Warberry could organise a cake sale to raise funds to support the families. Therefore, we have decided that in addition to our planned fundraising event to raise money for Comic Relief – who are also supporting many charities helping the people if the Ukraine – we are going to have a cake sale.
Friday is Red Nose Day and the whole Trust school council have met together to discuss ideas for raising funds. All the children across the Trust are invited to wear something red along with a crazy hair style for a donation to Comic Relief. We will be starting the day with a Trust assembly and then each class in the Trust will be spending 30 minutes participating in a sporting activity – this will mean that collectively we will complete 24 hours of sport.
One of our Year 3 children has written a letter asking if we can support the children in the Ukraine by organising a cake sale. We think this is a great idea and shows how kind and thoughtful our children are. How could we say no! UNICEF is a charity who are raising funds to support the children of the Ukraine and to show our support, Warberry will be holding a cake sale hosted by our Year 3 children on Friday 25th March. If you would like to donate cakes to be sold to raise money then please can you deliver them to the office on the mornings of Thursday 24th and Friday 25thMarch. We will be selling the cakes in the car park after school. Please be mindful of social distancing.
