Community and Fundraising

Welcome to our Community and Fundraising page. Warberry has always been an integral part of the local community and our parents have always supported our fundraising experiences. These have included NSPCC, Oasis Relief, Children In Need, local foodbanks and many more. Have a look at our Joe Wicks photos and check back for future events that our children will be involved in.

Recycle and Raise Scheme

We are collecting for Recycle & Raise

Finished all those Christmas chocolates? Don’t throw those plastic tubs away…  Bring your clean and empty tubs to school before 15th February 2023, and raise money for Life Chance and Dartmoor Zoological Society.

Life Chance is an award-winning organisation that provides mentoring and life skills training to young people who have experienced trauma.

Dartmoor Zoo undertakes conservation, breeding and research projects as well as the care of their animal collection.

We’re pleased to be supporting DCW Polymers South West recycling group who turn all that plastic waste into furniture!

Rags2Riches For Schools Collection

We were delighted with the response to the recent PTA’s collection with Rags2Riches for Schools.

With just a couple of weeks to sort through their wardrobes at home, our lovely families donated 380.8kg of clothes and raised £152.32 for PTA funds.  The pile grew so quickly we didn’t get a chance to actually count the number of bags that were donated!

These clothes will now become affordable clothing for people in need around the world, currently a large proportion is being sent to the Ukraine.

Pupil fundraising for Ukraine

We cannot thank you enough for your kind donations and amazing cakes and are pleased to announce that you have raised an amazing £ 421.06. What a generous community you are and a special thank you to our Year 3 pupil for asking the school to have a cake sale to raise money for the children from the Ukraine.

Red Nose Day Trust Style

What a wonderful day we had celebrating Red Nose Day . The children all thoroughly enjoyed the Trust assembly led by our CEO, Miss Cleverly, and the head teachers from the schools in our Trust; the heads gave us a fabulous dance performance and were dressed in rather amusing costumes! During the day, there was time to reflect on the incredible work that Comic Relief does for families nationally and internationally. In the afternoon, our Key Stage Two children took part in a whole Trust quiz which was lots of fun and as always, the children love being able to connect with their peers in our sister school.

As a Trust we raised £1680.73 – that is amazing! What an achievement.

Recycle and Raise money for Dartmoor Zoo

Now closed for donations but look out for the same event next Christmas

The 2021/22 campaign raised £2868.14 for Dartmoor Zoological Society. A HUGE THANK for getting involved and supporting the community.
